The current center is rich in history, with historical buildings such as the Old Town Hall (Grange) and the Stone Memorial Building located along route 114. The American Legion Hall, the town Library and, of course, the gazebo are also found in the center of Weare which hosts a Farmer's market, American Legion breakfasts, fiddlers contests and some surprising fireworks for Old Home Day celebrations.
Weare is not only rich in history, community, and land but also has many ponds, streams, and lakes. Along with the Piscataquog River, there is Lake Horace with its public beach and boat launch, Everett Lake at (2000 acres) Clough State Park, and Mt. William's Pond with its annual fishing derby.
