Manchester NH Real Estate

Don’t be surprised if you hear Manchester referenced to as the Queen City. This nickname may have links to its historical past with Governor Wentworth to the Queen of England or perhaps because it is the largest city in NH. Honestly this nick name to me shows how special and endearing the city is. Currently home to over 100,000 residents Manchester has recently experienced a rebirth of the downtown area. Stimulated by the building of the states largest civic arena (Verizon Wireless )boasting 10,0000 seats and home to the Manchester Monarchs and Manchester Wolves; not only providing great hockey and Arena2 football but also hosting music, political and cultural events as well.
Getting back to its history, the Amoskeag Mills are also within the downtown area located along the Merrimack River. Although previously the worlds largest cotton textile mill the renovated mills are now home to everything from technology businesses to rock climbing. These recent developments have ignited other sites such as the MerchantsAuto.com stadium and the Hilton Garden Inn creating a cultural explosion that has sparked arts and entertainment with over 700 services, 60 business, 70 restaurants and 20 night clubs. There is of course the other nickname with all this action you can sometimes hear it called ManchVegas, although without all the glitter and hype. Instead Manchester is settled along the banks of a beautiful river with a thriving downtown rich in history while diving head first into a great future. Although the future appears to have had a plan as the city now has the Manchester/Boston airport,
new credit card parking meters and an expanding cultural community.
Visit soon and discover how this city with all its growth and history can become endearing to you and a place you will want to call home.
